Getting Ready for Bed

Here are a few snapshots before hitting the sack for bed...

The Lamb Jacket

Libby got an adorable jacket from her Grandparents. Since the weather has been COLD here lately, we bundled her up in the new jacket for an excursion. As you can see, she loves it as much as her parents. Thanks Dad and Vicki!

Waves of Sleepiness

In this clip, Libby is just so tired that she can barely hold her head up. Notice how she wants to play so badly, but the waves of sleepiness just keep coming over her. Take a look...

Sucking Toes II

Libby's First Thanksgiving

Yum

The table wasn't quite as elaborate as what we've done in the past, but we did use our fine china, glasses & my favorite silver

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Our first Thanksgiving together as a family of THREE was excellent! Daddy got to come home around 1, and Libby and I spent the entire morning cooking. Well, Libby sat in her Exercauser in the kitchen while I cooked a meal that I am proud to say was good! :) We've discovered that out of all of her toys, rice boxes and other boxes are her absolute favorite things to play with. Dad came home and we spent a great Thanksgiving afternoon together, even getting to take a short nap, all three of us.

I am more thankful this year than ever before. Being a Mom to Libby has been the greatest blessing of my life. I thank the Lord daily for her health and never take for granted the fact that she is doing so very well. We are having an amazing time being her parents, life is enhanced in ways we never thought possible. Matt and I were talking over lunch about how different our lives were this time last year. Yes, we knew I was pregnant, but actually having the baby is another thing altogether! It has been an incredible journey with our daughter, and we are so thankful for each and every moment!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our family and friends, we hope you all had blessed days filled with love & laughter!

Libby and I went home for Aunt Jessica's wedding weekend! She finally got to meet her Aunt Jess, and her cousins Joey & Molly! And I finally got to hold my niece and nephew! It was a wonderful weekend, full of family...love, laughter and memories to last a lifetime. We were sad to go without Daddy, but Libby did great and enjoyed seeing her family on St. Simons. Jessica made a BEAUTIFUL BRIDE!!
Congratulations Aunt Jess & Uncle Ryan, we pray your marriage will continue to grow and be blessed!

Hanging Out

Posted by Picasa

The Exersaucer

Libby and I decided that she needed a few more toys out in the living room, so we decided to put together her Exersaucer. This contraption lets her sit in the middle series of small toys. It allows her to partially stand up, while swivelling 360 degrees around the toy stations. As you can see, she loved it.

Not so "Little", Little Libby Update!!

We had a busy, big weekend! Started on Friday. Libby had her four month check up at 9:30 AM. She got a wonderful report! She is in the 75th percentile for her weight and 90th percentile for her height. Her Doctor said she & I should be quite proud of ourselves! :) She's a chunky little monkey and we are SO pleased. She is also going to be TALL!! She said Libbs can start trying out rice cereal, and veggies and fruit. Real people food (in a baby jar!!). I am going to do my best to make it all at home for her. We haven't given her anything yet but we look forward to seeing the funny faces she is sure to make! She's at such a FUN age.

At home, we have different stations for her all set up. She's got the Exersaucer, the swing that hangs from the door, the playmat that she can lie on and reach up and grab things, and our favorite one of all, sitting with us and reading! She tries to grab the pages and turn them.

She loves to sit up and her little muscles are so strong.

She laughs all the time, she smiles at anything and everything. She is grabbing for things, rolling over, teething maybe, as well? She loves to put everything in her mouth. She drools constantly and has to have a bib on all the time! She is talking nonstop, which makes us melt. Last night we both heard her saying like five sentences in a row. I think she said "Mama" too, but no one was around to hear her! :)

We went to Cashiers for Matt's resident retreat-it is sooooooo much fun to travel now as a family! She was perfect in the car, there and back. The leaves were stunning and I have never appreciated them as much as I did this weekend. Bright, vibrant reds and yellows. It was cold and sunny the whole weekend, and it was really a joy to share it all with Libby. Times surely have changed! The first year we went, we stayed up til the sun came up, last year we had just found out we were expecting, and this year we had a little girl in tow. Wonder what next year will be like!??! ;)

In other news, Libby and I are traveling home to SSI on Wednesday to celebrate Aunt Jessica's wedding!! Matt unfortunately will be working and we are going to miss Daddy so very much. But Libby cannot wait to see her grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and finally meet her COUSINS!!!

Rolling Over!

Well, we've been intermittently rolling over for the last few days, but now I think that she has the hang of it. In the video below, you can see her finally figuring out how to rotate the shoulders, flip the hips, pull herself over, and get the other shoulder out of the way. As always, enjoy!

Happy Birthday, Granddad!

The Certain family here in Atlanta wanted to wish Granddad Certain a Happy Birthday!
