Georgia Marathon and Half-Marathon Today!

Well, set a new PR (personal record) on the half marathon course today of 1:45:27! It was great weather, and the only reason it was possible was because of the wonderful support in the Highlands. Amy, Libby, Margaret: huge, huge thanks!

Happy Ten Months, Margaret Virginia

My precious baby girl is TEN months old today-and I would just like to know, HOW in the world could she really be this old.  She was just born yesterday.

I love love love her - she is the best.  So laid back, so happy and just so fun to be around. She waves bye bye, she can point to the fan if you ask her to, she points to the sky, she is wanting to walk, and she is just happy happy and sweet.  Being her mother is a blessing that words can't describe.   She is a cuddly little monkey angel bear and I am in love with her and of course, her big sister! :))

She finally has one tiny little tooth and she loves to show it off!  Her favorite things to do are walk outside, play in the grass, take baths, play with Libby's toys and be held by me.  She loves people and will smile and rest her head on my shoulder in a shy way when she first meets someone. Swinging is her most favorite thing to do at the park - she could swing all day!  We are staying busy and just loving on our baby girls. :)

Welcome to Atlanta Party!

One of my very best friends has moved to Atlanta with her husband and daughter, Ella!  We had a party at our house to introduce them to some of our friends - we had such a great time.  The weather was gorgeous, the food delicious that Matt made, and just a beautiful Spring afternoon spending time together.  Matt made pork on the grill, we had pork tacos and veggie tacos along with some apps.  Libby and I made green and white cupcakes (for St Pattys day) and everything was just delish!
We are SO glad to have the English family back in the state of Georgia after being in Jacksonville for many years.  Loved having our friends over and next time the Keys will be here to make the party complete!  Love you, T-Dawg!!

New Dresser

So I am in the process of adding some color to the house. I feel like we've done a great job and come so far with our little casa - we've worked hard to make it our home.  I love clean lines and green.  Green, green, green.  If I could have a green and white house all over, and a blue and white kitchen, I would be thrilled.  But a white couch and two under two would not work so well, so we have great leather furniture in the den.  I'm trying to incorporate the green and other colors I want into the accent pieces.  I love finding good, cheap finds - antique stores, craigslist, garage sales, I love the search and rescue. Ha!  Here is a piece we got on craigslist - it has a sister piece, an armoire, that is in our bedroom. It's huge so I haven't done anything with it yet but next month is hopefully the time I'll be able to move that out and freshen it up some!!!  This was a brown dresser and I distressed it with an antique red.  Looking for a new lamp, but we're happy with how it turned out. :)

Little Mags

Precious baby is almost ten months.  Crawling fast, ready to walk, stood solo for about ten seconds.  She's creeping around the furniture and busy, busy busy.  She's a wonderful and sweet little angel!  Don't remember life before she came along - how fun is that!  So thankful for our two daughters.  Lib and Mag are getting along pretty well for the most part - funny, though, the other night Mags had Libby's vitamin bottle (closed of course) and was shaking it all around.  Libby grabbed it from her and Mag sobbed and crawled over to her and snatched it right back. It was SO funny.  Love, love, love these two little bitty girls so much.

Getting ready to start the planning for M's birthday party.  A BBQ supper at the house on May 14.  Mark your calendars everyone!!

cousins!!

We are really excited to have family in town.  Matt's first cousin, Drew has moved to Atlanta with his family!  We love having them here! Today they came over for a playdate - Libby and Eli hit it off well (after an hour of Libby not wanting to share but she eventually warmed up!) and they enjoyed a beautiful day outside playing.  Eli is so sweet and he and Libby are going to be great friends!  Mags was a sweet baby sister and just hung out while they two big kiddos played.  What a fun thing to have some family in town.  Matt and I are looking forward to spending lots of time with Drew and Delle, and Libby and Mags are so happy to have a big cousin to play with now!  They are living so close to us, too, not far at all - about five miles maybe.  Welcome to Atlanta!!
