Exercauser Time!

These were taken during the Georgia game this past Saturday afternoon. Tough loss, but with these two insanely precious children, who really cares about football???! NOT ME!

Sesame Street Came to Atlanta!

This was our second year seeing Sesame Street at Philips and it was oh so fun.  Being friends with the Marketing Manager has its perks, so we were able to get to attend a meet and greet before the show started.  ELMO actually came!  Libby was beyond excited!!  When he walked through the doors you could hear gasps in the room, parents were so happy and the children were in awe.  Elmo and Abby Cadabby (sp?) posed for pix and needless to say, we had a very happy Libby on our hands.  Margaret is going to love these pix in a few short years!!  We had a great time, and ended the night with the Odegards at dinner.

16 WEEKS!!

Margaret is SIXTEEN WEEKS TODAY!  I can't believe it.  Four months ago I was nervously going into the hospital to have my c-section and meet my amazing little butterball second daughter! I loved her then, and I love her more and more every single day! She is awesome.

Saturday she started putting her toes in her mouth. She's laughing, so loudly, loves to see her Mom and Libby and Daddy looking at her, she's strong, too!  Sunday we put her in the stroller facing forward for the first time, and she LOVED it!  I could cry that she's already this big.  She's going to crawl soon and I am just loving watching her learn about the world.

I love you, my Margaret, and I hope you have a very happy four month birthday!  I think we'll chase Big Sister Libby around for an extra long time tonight in the front yard!!

Love,
Mommy

MY BROTHER!

As many of you know, my baby brother Garrison (So not a baby, he's 25) enlisted in the US Army.  He started basic training at Fort Knox, KY in July and this past weekend was Parent's weekend.  I decided after talking to everyone that I wouldn't go to this weekend's events since I really want to be at his graduation which is in October. It's a 6+ hour drive and with two young babies I just didn't think I should do it twice, back to back. I was SO sad to miss it.   But, mom, dad, Melissa and Lisa went to this weekend in Kentucky and most importantly, his girlfriend Lindsey was able to fly from SSI and be there.  This is the only pic I have so far from Parent weekend, I'll get more soon hopefully!

He is doing such a great job and we are so proud of him. Yes, with three sisters and a mom and a girlfriend, we all worry and pray for him constantly!  He is doing really well and I wish I had his body fat of 0%!!  WE LOVE YOU BROTHER BEAR!!!  Cannot wait to hug his neck and just tell him how PROUD I am of him.  Libby, Margaret and I have been writing him a lot and he says that really does help him when he gets letters from everyone, and we enjoy doing it.  I think about him all the time and now when I see a United States flag I have a new respect for it.

Decatur Book Festival

We LOVE living in Decatur, one of the many perks would be that we're within walking distance to the square, where they constantly have concerts, and festivals, and great restaurants as well as the PARK! During Labor Day weekend, they had the Decatur Book Festival, which is apparently the largest in the world? Whatever that means!? We decided to walk and see what it was all about, and we are so glad we did! It was a gorgeous day and we ate and played and just had FUN with our girls!

Margaret being her usual HAPPY self!

FISH TACOS, YUM!

waking up from her stroller nap, ready to party (and eat!)

coloring, her favorite activity!

This was an awesome storyteller.  We sat and listened to him for about 30 minutes, he was fantastic! Really captivating.

Proud of her work!

The BEST lemonade I've ever had.  So good!

Go Dawgs!

For the first game of the football season, Matt and I loaded up the car and the girls and headed to Athens! It was a gorgeous day and we were so excited to be taking Libby to her second game, and Margaret to her first! The drive was easy, not much traffic, and we found a spot to park and hang out until the game began. We had such an AWESOME DAY! It was one of the best days in Athens we've had. Granted, things have definitely changed since the babies started going with us, and our fun is of a different kind, but you know what I mean. It was a fun, relaxing (believe it or not) day for us. After the game we hung around, Libby took a nap while we walked around in her stroller, and we went to the bookstore to buy them some official UGA clothes, Libby an adorable hoodie and Margaret got a precious tshirt. Before heading back to Atlanta we stopped at the Taco Stand and ate entirely too much unbelievable Mexican food, that tastes just like Del Taco (RIP SSI DEL TACO) and got back to Atl around 9 PM. I loved every minute of our day in Athens and we look forward to many more to come!
